Visa for foreigner entry USA
The citizens of general foreign country wish to enter
the United States must first obtain a visa, either a "nonimmigrant"
or an "immigrant" visa. The "visitor" visa for business (B-1) or for
pleasure or medical treatment (B-2) is a nonimmigrant visa. Persons
planning to travel to the U.S. for a different purpose must apply for
a different visa in the appropriate category. Travelers from certain
of countries may also be able to visit the U.S. without a visa.
The Visa Waiver Pilot Program (VWPP) enables citizens
of participating countries to travel to the U.S. for tourism or business
for 90 days or less without obtaining a U.S. visa. Currently there are
following 29 participating countries in the VWPP, including: Andorra,
Argentina, Austria, Australia, Belgium, Brunei, Denmark, Finland, France,
Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg,
Monaco, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino,
Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom
and Uruguay.
